Country House Restaurant: A Delightful Blend of Steakhouses, Italian, American, and Seafood Cuisine

One of the best dinners my family has had in a long time. We visited on a slow Sunday night. The staff was extreamly attentive. The dining room is beautiful and decorated floor to ceiling for Christmas. Our soups and main course were delicous.

Ive been here a few times over the course of 30yrs; My older sister had her rehearsal dinner here as well. I had an event & needed last min reservations for a party of 6, and they were able to accommodate us. BEAUTIFULLY decorated, pleasant Ambiance and of course the Food was amazing! Jackie was very helpful also!

This is a 'Boutique Dining Experience." Ambiance? The Counrty House will transform you and take you to where ever it is you'd like to be. (Sans drugs.) This restaurant is unique. Bob, the proprietor (45 plus years) is doing everything right. The food is marvelous. But the decor is out of this world. And from season to season, and with such attention to detail, Bob adorns his place with glorious eye candy -- just feast upon feast for your viewing pleasure. The meal seems unimportant cause there's just so much to see! The Country House is a must. Quite the treat! (The lobster appetizer is EXTRAORDINARY, btw.) Just go.

The Country House is our #1 choice for an elegant, spectacular dining experience! From the moment you walk in, the ambience, the warmth, the beauty are incredibly welcoming. There is a deep sense of being in a very beautiful home, and being looked after. The menu has many great choices. The food was magnificently prepared. The service was warm and superb. They have every aspect of the dining experience beautifully covered. If you want to enjoy a special night out, or simply enjoy a fabulous meal, the Country House is a must! Worth every penny!

This historic home turned restaurant is truly magnificent. The Christmas decor and drinks were amazing. We did a progressive dinner and drinks and apps were here, the French Onion soup was browned perfectly and the Cham Cham drink (champagne and chambord) was perfection. Also, don’t forget to ask about the little girl and historic past in the Revolutionary War!

We had the best time at The Country Club! Scott and Robert were amazing — so friendly, helpful, and just genuinely great people. The whole staff was awesome too. This has been our friends’ favorite spot for over 40 years, and now we totally get why! We met so many cool people and it honestly felt like home. It’s impossible to express how everything delicious was. Place everyone must visit! Big thanks to Robert and Scott for the great food and for making our night so special. We’ll definitely be back!

Bob and the staff at The Country House are so very wonderful! I had the BEST tuna ever! The atmosphere is very cozy and bright. Everything on the menu is great! I go every year for Mother’s Day an each year it gets better than the last of that’s even possible. 10/10!

My husband and I went last night to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. It was our first time there and it was absolutely AMAZING! The Country House is beautifully decorated and I immediately started telling my friends about our wonderful experience and wanted to share it on Google reviews as well. The Country House has such character and we loved the ambiance. Everyone who worked there was super sweet and helpful. Bob greeted us at the door and welcomed us. Zachary was our waiter and he offered top-notch service and Shane bused our table and was very on top of things. I asked Zachary and Shane about their ghost experiences and they shared their stories with us. Originally, my hubby and I were going to get the French onion soup and chicken cordon bleu, but they had a special for $75 that included the French onion soup, filet mignon and pecan pie with ice cream. We went with that and everything was delicious! We also bought a bottle of wine that was reasonably priced and cappuccinos. Bob the owner followed up with us to ensure our meal was perfect. I brought my EMF reader because I was hoping to catch a ghost. It did go off in the Old Field room, where we were sitting in the Fireside room, and also outside. I did not "see" any apparitions or anything out of the norm. We spent a good amount of time speaking with Bob about the spirits there, decorations, different events they offer and learned he has been the owner for over 40 years. Keep up the great work Bob. You have an extraordinary, beautiful place and we can't wait to come back during Christmas time and/or psychic night.
